Kolkata-New York Express

Every day here is an adventure.
Where to begin? But if I begin, where would I ever end?
Every time I think I'm beginning to figure something out about this place, I realize I'm wrong.
Every time I think I will never understand this place at all, it proves me wrong.
Benjamin once called Paris the capital of the 19th century: a metropolis of time, not space.
I hereby nominate Kolkata (that's how Calcutta is spelled these days) as global gateway of the temporalities.
